Customer Care

To get the most out of your Amy The Hatter piece please pay attention to the following advice:

 My Hats are made from 100% wool felt, so please DO NOT wash them in a washing machine, as like a wool jumper they will shrink, which unfortunately is irreparable. Also please do not submerge in water as this will damage the shape. I would suggest brushing your hat with a soft brush, such as a shoe brush, or use a slightly damp cloth to remove any marks. 

 My Hats are weather resistant but not completely weatherproof so please do not wear for long periods of time in turbulent weather as this will cause damage.

 Embroidery, feathers and other embellishments ideally would not be exposed to poor weather and harsh conditions as they may use shape and colour.


 Please allow a minimum of 3 weeks notice before your event to order your custom hat as this allows time to design and make, but also to make any final changes.

 I require 25-50% of the total cost of the hat as a deposit before I can begin the making process. Please note this is non-refundable.

 The design and price will be discussed and agreed on with you (the client) before the making stage. Any changes made after the design has been finalised will be added to the total cost of the hat.

 As commissions are made to your specific requirements, they are non-returnable and non-refundable, however if your hat is faulty or arrives damaged I can fix or replace it, free of charge.

 At least one fitting will be required for a custom order, depending on the style of hat. If this is not possible I will require some basic measurements.

Returns & Exchanges

Items bought directly from my website can be exchanged or returned within 30 days, if unworn and proof of purchase has been provided. I reserve the right to decline either exchange or return if these conditions have not been met. 

As stated above, custom orders are non-returnable and non-refundable.
